In the last few years we have been privileged to hold supporter receptions at No 10 Downing Street, Mansion House, Speaker's House and the Supreme Court. By pledging a regular gift you will help St Andrew’s Club securely plan for the future – not only to survive but to thrive. Gift Aid could make your gift worth 25% more. Here are some examples of what difference your gift could make:
Annual donation including Gift Aid of
£366 (£24.37 net monthly)
Actual annual cost of gift to higher rate tax payers £219.00
Will help pay for ten attendances at the Club by one Club member, each attendance costing £36.55. In 2019-20, despite lockdown and Covid-19 restrictions, we had 8,572 individual physical attendances (excluding participation in our Virtual Andrew’s activities during lockdown) across our wide-range of activities, enabling a young person to experience multiple opportunities to discover themselves, their strengths and skills and their self-confidence. Each attendance of course includes the cost of appropriate levels of staff supervision, equipment, building maintenance, insurance and safety. We would usually see double this number in a non-Covid year.
Annual donation including Gift Aid of
£225 (£15 net monthly)
Actual annual cost of gift to higher rate tax payers £135.00
Will help pay for an annual supply of new games for Junior Club, keeping
board and interactive games in good repair for the youngsters to learn
from and enjoy.

Will help pay for a young person to benefit from a year’s membership at
the Club, helping them not only to ‘stay out of trouble’, but to build
self-confidence, respect for themselves and for others, learn vital
skills and experience opportunities to create a positive sense of
citizenship.
Annual donation including Gift Aid of
£750 (£50 net monthly)
Actual annual cost of gift to higher rate tax payers £450

their own development and give back to the Club in a more professional way.

Youth Work.

£1,500 (£100 net monthly)
Actual annual cost of gift to higher rate tax payers £900

being part of a team, awareness and acceptance of other people’s ability and
positively affects emotions, relationships, identity and self-esteem.
Annual donation including Gift Aid of
£25,000 (£85 net monthly from 20 supporters)
Actual annual cost of gift to higher rate tax payers £765 for each supporter
Will help pay for a full time Youth Worker who delivers the Club’s exciting activities and relevant programmes to members, providing vital alternatives to other diversions. Our Youth Workers are trained to have a high regard for all aspects of members’ well-being: increasing self-confidence, developing social and personal skills, enhancing thinking skills and developing respect for themselves and for others.
We also have a range of capital/ restricted needs from specialist music equipment to workshops with trained providers such as special effect make up courses. Please do ask. Help your money go further. With Gift Aid, for every £1.00 you give, St Andrew’s Club can claim a further 25 pence from the Inland Revenue. If you pay tax at the higher rate you can reclaim tax relief on your gross donation at 20%, ie a further 25 pence for every £1 you give, reducing the cost to you to 75 pence.

Gifts in a Will
The home of St Andrew’s Club is Alec Wizard House, Old Pye Street, named after a former ‘home boy’, chairman, president and supporter, Alec Wizard, whose wife Irene left the Club a legacy to help continue its work. We are truly grateful for the generosity of anyone who leaves us a gift in their Will, whatever its value – every little does indeed help. Today’s legacy gifts will help us be here for future generations of local Westminster young people.
One way to support future generations of young people at St Andrew’s Club is with a gift or legacy to the
John Scott Fund
.
This growing, independent fund has a particular mission to provide some long term financial security to the Club. Named after, John Scott, who was the Club's President in the '60s and who gave great support to the Club and whose positive influence is still felt today, the John Scott Fund is a segregated account held within the Master Charitable Trust of Messrs Hoare Trustees (part of Hoare’s Bank) and has been established by friends and supporters of the Club.
Mr Christopher Hoare has pledged to leave a gift in his own will to the John Scott Fund:
I feel it important to make a gift to the John Scott Fund to underpin the sustainability of St Andrew’s Club in years to come. This will enable the Club to make a real difference to the lives of future generations of young people.
The Duke of Edinburgh, seen here with Alec Wizard, opened Alec Wizard House, Westminster in 1984.
