St Andrew’s has been a central part of Valence's life; and he has been just as important to the Club. Valence became qualified as a youth worker and coached various sports at St Andrew's Club, before leaving the Club in 2008. As written in the full interview in The Chronicle, "You name the sport; he helped make it happen."
