Easter At St Andrew's

19 Apr 2026

St Andrew’s  was the place to be this Easter, offering young people engaging and enriching experiences over the two-week school break. Young people attending the holiday programme took part in a wide range of activities designed to build confidence, foster friendships, and stay active - all activities delivered by the Club’s dedicated team of Youth Workers.

Throughout the fortnight, participants enjoyed a vibrant mix of social, creative, and physical activities while strengthening bonds with both new and existing friends. The Club’s Youth Workers delivered mentorship and guidance, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

Our Young Members were quick to highlight their favourite moments. Iris aged 11, shared that boxing stood out because “it makes me feel healthier afterwards,” while Balsam, aged 10, praised the arts and crafts table, noting that “every day there are different things to do and make.” For Jasmin, aged 9, simply spending time with friends was the highlight, while Poppy, aged 12, described her excitement at getting false nails for the first time. Noah, aged 9, enjoyed playing football, saying he “loves football so much,” and Rocco, aged 11, named Zorb games as the most fun activity on offer.

CEO Sarah Nicholls explained why our holiday provision is so important and that it is about much more than just keeping children entertained. “Holidays at the Club are always special for us. It’s about giving young people a safe space where they can try new things, build confidence and feel supported and continue to develop outside of school. Many of the young people we support cannot afford private holiday Clubs, so St Andrew's is vital in keeping them engaged and motivated throughout the holidays."

The programme focused on three key themes: activity, independence, and creativity. Young people kept active with roller disco sessions, boxing, football, and training sessions in the Club’s gym. They also developed independence through cooking classes inspired by MasterChef and The Great British Bake Off, learning valuable kitchen skills. Creativity flourished through hair and nail sessions, flower pot making, and customised Easter crafts.

No Easter celebration would be complete without chocolate treats. This year, the club received a generous donation of more than 150 Easter eggs from Jupiter Asset Management. The donation ensured that every child could enjoy a special festive treat, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.

A massive thank you to Westminster City Council, Mayor’s Fund for London (MFL) Kitchen Social Programme and Feeding Britain for funding our Easter Programme. Without your generous support, our vital holiday provision would not be possible
