We are delighted to announce that for seven days from 12 noon Tuesday 23 June to 12 noon Tuesday 30 June, your donations to St Andrew’s Club will be doubled! We are incredibly grateful to have been allocated £5,000 from The Childhood Trust and £5,000 from Forsters Charitable Trust to form our matching pot. This will allow us to take part in Champions for Children – a matched fundraising campaign developed in response to the Covid-19 crisis. If you’re thinking of donating to the Club, then there is no better time.
We aim to enrich young lives by giving local young people, aged 5 to adulthood and of diverse backgrounds, many on tight family budgets, the chance to thrive and give back to society by providing activities that are enabling, educational and participative in a safe, neutral environment.
In response to Covid-19 lockdown, our youth workers have adapted quickly to develop a virtual provision, delivered activity and care packages to many members and are maintaining direct contact with members and their families to establish their needs and status during lockdown.
We are still uncertain about the scale of a Summer Project we can provide. Usually this is for 4 weeks during the Summer Holidays. If we are able, we would like to offer this project, given the need local young people will have to socialise (safely and within guidelines).
When you donate during the campaign week, your vital funds will help us respond flexibly to any Summer provision we are able to offer, and beyond, AND your individual donation will be doubled when you donate via our dedicated online portal. Please help us reach our target of £10,000. One donation, twice the impact.
