Thanks to the generosity of the Club’s President - Lord Strathclyde - who hosted a lunch in the Peers’ Dining Room at the House of Lords, St Andrew’ Club was able to give a huge thank you to our corporate partners Forsters LLP on Thursday 16 June. Lord Strathclyde also treated the group to a tour of some of the amazing rooms, steeped in history, in the House of Lords, including the Royal Gallery.
It was a great opportunity to say thank you to the Forsters’ team who have been such strong supporters of the Club, raising over £55,000 over the last three years! They have now set their sights on raising a further £20,000 with a team of 40 undertaking the gruelling Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge on 1 July. Their sponsorship page is HERE.
They have taken part in fundraising events such as the Royal Parks Half Marathon, held raffles and bake sales, donated client penny balances and matched donations through the Forsters Charitable Trust. They have donated Christmas gifts to the Club and sponsored the costs of our supporter reception at the Supreme Court in June 2019, bought tables at our recent Dinner Dance & Auction.
They have supported our members by providing resources to develop art projects, such as a Christmas Card making competition, where members submitted photos of their cards which were judged by artist Jock Mcfayden, a Forsters’ client and the ‘Hope & Togetherness’ project at the end of last year. The artwork created by the members now hangs proudly in the Forsters’ Mayfair offices, and members were invited to go see their work displayed. They have helped out at Holiday Projects, organising activities such as a London Landmark Treasure Hunt and a Halloween Day for Junior Club members.
They have also supported our office teams with pro bono help and advice on a variety of topics.
A huge thank you from everyone at the Club to Lord Strathclyde for his incredibly generous hosting, and to Forsters LLP for all the many ways they support the Club. Long may our partnership continue!
