It was a was another vibrant, fun-filled and memorable summer at St Andrew’s, with over 190 children enjoying an exciting four week holiday programme packed with opportunities to learn, create, explore and make new friends.
There was something for everyone, with a wide range of activities that catered to different interests, personalities and age groups. Young people got creative in graffiti workshops, learnt cooking skills in the kitchen, stayed active playing football, boxing and dodgeball, and socialised with quizzes and karaoke. Every day brought new experiences and opportunities for young people to build confidence, develop skills and create lasting memories.

Our holiday programme provided a safe, welcoming and engaging environment throughout the summer, helping young people stay active, try new things and make the most of their holiday alongside their peers.
The programme proved hugely popular with young people’s, with feedback showing that:
93% of young people surveyed said they enjoyed what they did at Club
95% of young people surveyed said they would come back again
The programme also included 12 trips and outings across the four-week period..
For many children, these trips were a real highlight of the summer, offering the chance to visit new places, try new activities and share exciting experiences with friends. Highlights included meeting the animals at Hobbledown Farm, a cinema trip, the thrills of Thorpe Park's rides and a pizza-making workshop hosted by our corporate partner.
Back at the Club, young people make the most of the summer weather with energetic water fights, helping everyone cool off while creating plenty of laughter, friendship and lasting memories.
Reflecting on the pizza-making workshop, our Youth Club Manager, Adrian, said:
"The pizza-making experience was a real highlight, and our young people thoroughly enjoyed getting hands-on, learning new skills and working alongside their friends. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to build confidence. Experiences like these have a lasting impact on our young people, helping them broaden their horizons and see the many opportunities available to them."
Young people themselves were equally enthusiastic about their summer experiences.
Six-year-old Penelope said:
“We had so much fun I did baking and had a water fight with my friends”
Meanwhile, 12-year-old Mouma reflected on the friendships that made the summer special:
“My favourite part of the holidays was spending time with my friends and making them happy”
The holiday programme demonstrates the important role St Andrew's plays in providing a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for local children and young people. By combining fun activities, educational opportunities and exciting trips, the Club helped over 190 young people stay active, develop new skills and enjoy a summer full of positive experiences.
A massive thank you to Westminster City Council, John Lyon’s Charity, Mayor’s Fund for London (MFL) Kitchen Social Programme and Feeding Britain for funding our Summer Programme. Without your generous support, our vital holiday provision would not be possible
